A yoga retreat is an opportunity to journey inward to the Self—and the journey doesn’t stop there. Yoga is also a practice of engagement, inviting us to reflect upon our relationships and build meaningful connections within our bodies and also our communities and environment. Join sisters Hannah and Marta for a 7-day journey to incredible Marrakech, Morocco –  exploring the Self through yoga and culture.

Our retreat begins on the outskirts of Marrakech, and travels inward to the souks and medina in the city; we’ll journey for [4] days to the surrounding Atlas mountains and culminate the trip with a magical evening in the incredible desert. 

WHO?

This retreat is for the curious traveler and yogi of all levels. It is for the nature lover who wants to experience the beauty of the desert, the foodie and lover of fresh cuisine, as well as the adventurer who seeks to explore the incredible city of Marrakech. You will have an opportunity to experience Morocco’s culture while steeping yourself in the practice of yoga.
This retreat is for physically fit yogis and friends of all ages who are willing to travel to your destination and then to experience what is being offered.
Yoga beginners and friends (who do not practice yoga) are most welcome.

 

WHAT?

On this retreat, our yoga practice will offer space for meaningful time away from our busy lives.There will be daily early morning meditation intended to deepen our self-reflection and to nourish and heal our soul. Morning yoga practices will be energizing, providing an opportunity to be challenged. Evening yoga will be deep and restorative.
With yoga rooted in self-confidence, love and respect, we will create a strong foundation for mutual respect and healing with those around us.

The week’s schedule includes a balance of planned activities and personal free time to relax or explore. Each day provides ample opportunities for adventure and inspiration, whether it be meandering through the city, taking a hike, or learning to cook. To frame the experience of our journey, the group will read a book together to cultivate deeper discussion and connections with one another. 

Your Instructors

Hannah is a social worker and yoga instructor with 20 years experience teaching and facilitating retreats and events. She specializes in therapeutic yoga and leads classes that meet you where you are.

Marta is the Yoga Program Coordinator and a yoga instructor at Myriad Yoga, with 18 years of experience practicing yoga. Marta prioritizes the individual in her classes by guiding and supporting students to find the alignment of poses that best suit their bodies and needs.

We are thrilled to share this experience with a community of like-minded individuals. We are excited to be co-teaching as sisters, and will be available to support you and your practice during your retreat.

One-on-One Introductory Call

Once you register, we will reach out to schedule a video call: we can’t wait to meet you! This call is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, to learn more about your needs and interests, and to discuss any personal goals prior to the trip.

Planned down to the finest details, Yoga & Culture in Morocco Retreat also includes:

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED?

We do our best to give you the best Marrakech has to offer and to make your retreat as hassle-free and relaxing as possible, but please note that the following is not included:

  • Airfare to and from Morocco
  • Mandatory private travel insurance 
  • Passport and/or visa fees
  • Optional meals and activities not listed in the final itinerary
  • Beverages other than bottled water in the rooms and during meals
  • Discretionary tips

HOW DO I BOOK MY SPOT?

  • Participants can pay in full at the time of booking or enroll in one of our payment plans
  • Coming by yourself and want to share a room? Select "Shared Twin - Two Twin Beds" room option and we will match you with a roommate
  • Sharing a Double or Twin room with another participant? Shoot us an email with both names so we can make you roommates

HOW DOES PARTIAL.LY PAYMENT PLAN WORK? 

Partial.ly is a flexible payment plan that makes it possible for you to book your retreat today and pay for it, selecting your own payment terms to better fit your finances:

  • Select your room type and the number of participants
  • Pay the US$500 down payment
  • You choose the frequency of your payments and the amount of each payment changes accordingly
  • Your final payment will occur 8 weeks before the retreat start date.

      CAN I CANCEL MY BOOKING?

      • The first US$500 of any payment is the participant's deposit and is not refundable
      • Refunds are available until 56 days before the first day of the retreat (See Terms & Conditions HERE)
