Kimberly Lee-Tessmer

Kimberly is a Certified Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) and Trainer, she has been practicing yoga for over 27 years and is a certified fitness instructor for 18 years. Kimberly also holds certifications in Trauma Informed Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness, Pre & Post Natal Yoga, Barre fitness and Thai Yoga Massage. In addition to teaching weekly yoga classes, Kimberly is currently a Mindfulness Educator for the Synergy Health Center's grant based program called MiHAP (Mind Health Ambassadors Program). This program targets local black and brown high school students and trains them in Mental Health Awareness and Mindfulness Techniques. When teens complete the 60 hour program, they become Ambassadors in their schools and act as a conduit for peer support and sharing of resources and techniques.

Kimberly has a long history of coordinating group international travel, from 2005 - 2015 she worked as a travel specialist and planned international immersions for colleges and universities to multiple destinations in China, Chile, Brazil, France, Cambodia, Oman and The United Arab Emirates. She has led and attended retreats in multiple cities in Costa Rica, Mexico, Spain and the US.

What do you hope clients take away from sessions with you?

“My hope is that clients leave my class feeling empowered, strong and aligned. I hope clients walk away with a deeper sense of trust in themselves and confidence in their ability from trying something new.”

“Smile….. a lot, and notice what happens”

Favorite way to get inspired?

“Spending time with my family, not only are they my biggest cheerleaders, but they are my greatest inspiration”

Favorite restaurant or food to eat?

“My favorite thing to eat is Popcorn” and "Yes, it’s my dinner often.”

Favorite thing to do when you are not working?

“When I am not practicing or teaching you can usually find me out in nature or in the kitchen.  I have a new found love of baking sourdough bread and if I’m not baking, I’m making oat milk, meal prepping, jar salads and overnight oats for the upcoming week. Having a plan and healthy options when hungry is a game changer in my overall health & wellness”

Accomplishment you are most proud of?

I am most proud of the accomplishment of parenthood! My son Jack has grown to be such an intelligent, kind and authentic young man. He’s a natural born leader that will make a difference in the world. And he cracks me up all the time!
